Vera Voznyuk
Minister of Discipleship and Assimilation
Vera was born and raised in Southern Ukraine in a family of a Pentecostal minister. She and her siblings represent four generations of ministers. At a young age, Vera gave her heart to the Lord. She and her family were involved in planting the first Church of God in Ukraine. She was actively involved in youth, music, and evangelism ministries in this new and developing church plant. In 1999 she moved with her family to Sioux Falls, SD, U.S.A. where the Lord immediately provided work for her in a public school system. Since very young age Vera knew that there was a ministry calling on her life. She thrived in music ministry with the family quartet, of which she was a lead vocalist. The group experienced tremendous favor as opportunity presented itself for them to travel around the United States and minister alongside their father. One of the highlights was to sing for the President of the United States on two different occasions. Recording albums, singing at special events, and leading churches in worship provided tremendous opportunities for Vera’s calling to develop and expand.
In 2006 Vera moved to Cleveland, TN, to pursue ministry with the Church of God and higher education at Lee University. Her educational journey in music provided opportunity for her to win several regional vocal competitions and awards. While pursuing her education, she applied herself in the Music, Prayer, Evangelism, Women’s and Discipleship ministries at the Westmore Church of God, worked through the Westmore Leadership Development Program, and the Ministerial Internship Program with the Church of God. Vera worked through programs in preparation for the Exhorter Minister License and for the Ordained Minister License. After working at Lee University in the Campus Pastor’s office for three years, she has served as a Ministry Assistant at Westmore since 2010 – 2014 in the area of Discipleship, Evangelism, and Youth.
Vera currently serves on the Westmore Pastoral Staff team as the Minister of Adult Discipleship and Assimilation for the past seven years (making it total of eleven years of service at Westmore). Vera is also overseeing and developing the Prayer Ministries at Westmore and has led the Women’s Ministry during 2018-2020 time period. She is an Ordained Minister in the Church of God and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Vocal Music with a minor in Bible and a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from Lee University. As the Lord provides opportunities, Vera hopes to continue her studies in the field of Theology.
In her spare time, Vera enjoys teaching voice lessons through the Westmore Music Academy and often serves as a vocal judge at various singing competitions, does solo music, and has even taught applied voice at Lee University School of Music. She loves spending time with her family and friends, pouring into her little nieces and nephews, and traveling. She is also passionate about healthy living and fitness.
