Westmore Women

God has a great purpose for the women in His Kingdom!
God has a great purpose for women at Westmore. Throughout His ministry on Earth, Jesus encouraged women to fulfill their “holy assignments” and to be equal partners and partakers of His glory. Westmore is focused on encouraging women in their passion for God and to live out His divine plan for each of them. We seek to meet the spiritual and social needs of ladies of all ages, married and single, mothers, sisters and daughters, marketplace professionals and homemakers.
“Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come.”
– Proverbs 31:25, ESV

“God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day.”
– Psalm 46:5, NIV

Bible Studies:

Women’s Bible Study: God of Covenant (Genesis 12-50)

God of Covenant (Discover How God Orchestrates Everything for His Glory) – Wednesdays, 6:30 p.m., Overview Room (2nd floor)

There are no minor characters in the story of God. Beginning with Genesis 12, walk alongside the fathers of our faith—Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph—to discern Jesus in the stories of His people. Over 10 sessions, discover how God orchestrates everything for His glory and the good of His people, and see how the God of creation and covenant is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Discover how every story in the Bible points to Christ; Learn to view the lives of biblical figures in the larger context of Scripture; Challenge your basic understanding of familiar stories; Gain knowledge of who God is as He has revealed Himself through Scripture.

Class will be facilitated by a tag-team of Sarai Burgos, Sonia Griffey, and Kristie Whitman.

Young Professional Women: Discerning the Voice of God

A decade ago, Priscilla Shirer authored Discerning the Voice of God, and since then God has continued to grow, teach, and challenge her in her walk with Him. This revised and expanded edition reflects that growth through new stories, illustrations, and exercises. Through 7 sessions, discover the root to clear and daily communication with God – humble obedience. Learn how surrender unlocks His many blessings intended for us, centers us in His will, and helps us discern His voice in everyday life.

This group is open to women in their 20’s — 30’s, regardless of marital status, who are professionals, seeking for a sisterhood in Christ. Group meets on Tuesdays, 6:30 p.m. at Westmore (Prayer Room) and is led by Pastor Vera Voznyuk: vvoznyuk@westmorechurch.com (virtual option is available upon request).

Women’s FOCUS Group

Our first ever women’s FOCUS group is beginning on March 7th and will be led by Pastor Ginger Robinson. This group will focus on studying God’s word, and will meet on Sundays, 6:00 p.m., in Room 219 (2nd floor).

Ladies, we cannot wait to be together again in an athmosphere of corporate worship. There is power in sisters being together in fellowship with one another. This Spring the Westmore Women’s Ministry will hold a special Night of Worship – a time for refreshing for all ladies, from all walks of life, all generations, regardless of marital status. After the worship, we will hear a timely encouraging word. There is no cost for attending the event. Childcare for children up to 7 years old will be provided for this event. We invite mothers to bring their children into the atmosphere of worship.
