Westmore Women

God has a great purpose for the women in His Kingdom!

God has a great purpose for women at Westmore. Throughout His ministry on Earth, Jesus encouraged women to fulfill their “holy assignments” and to be equal partners and partakers of His glory. Westmore is focused on encouraging women in their passion for God and to live out His divine plan for each of them. We seek to meet the spiritual and social needs of ladies of all ages, married and single, mothers, sisters and daughters, marketplace professionals and homemakers.
“Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come.”
– Proverbs 31:25, ESV

“God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day.”
– Psalm 46:5, NIV

Bible Studies:

“Jesus, The One and Only” Bible Study

The new Women’s Bible Study class will take the journey through the life of Jesus based on the book of Luke. Come along with Beth Moore on a life-changing journey which will lead you through the hills of Galilee with the Teacher, across the lake with the Master, and finally, on the road toward the cross with the Savior. Get to know Jesus intimately … as though you had walked with Him during His days of earthly ministry. We are delighted to have Jennifer Cornett teach this bible study; she is a great teacher of the Word. It will be a 2-session series January—April. Class will begin on January 9th, 6:30 PM in Room 005, Wolfe Drive Location. Please come and invite someone!

Events:

Women’s Spring Banquet “REDEEMED” will take place on April 26, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at the Westmore Element building. Why Redeemed? God is our Restorer and Redeemer and is able to rebuild anything in our lives. But when broken things are not to be restored into it’s original state, He redeems them as if they never needed to be restored. He makes all things new and causes all things to work together for our good. Join us for dinner, beautiful music, special dance number by the Element girls group, and inspiring speaker Bonnie Hathcock. This will be a night for our ladies to get refreshed and to remember. Tickets will be available for purchase beginning Sunday, March 24th: Adult Ladies – $10, Young Ladies (ages 13 and under) – $8. We will also soon have some “Redeemed” swag for sale – heather grey and mauve t-shirts at $10 each!

Monthly Fellowships:

Living Proverbs 31

As women, we have a lot of responsibilities both in the family and in the marketplace. We try to be great at everything that’s on our plate – being outstanding mothers and wives, while pursuing careers and navigate through all the demands that come with that. Whether you are a married or a single woman, join us for a monthly fellowship, led by Richelle Shelton, where you will be encouraged and empowered to be the woman God created you to be. In the near future, we will explore several important subjects: self-care, work-life balance, working in a man’s world, etc. Our next meeting will take place on February 25 at 6:00 p.m. at Westmore Fellowship Hall (children’s area). Our speaker that night will be Jennifer Walker, a Physicians Assistant, wife, and mother.

Westmore Moms

Westmore Moms is a diverse group of Christ-following women within the Westmore Church of God Women’s Ministry. Every mother needs time dedicated to herself in order to recharge and connect with other women on a similar journey. This new group focuses on meeting the relational and spiritual needs of mothers, regardless of their marital status or whether their children are little or high school age. We invite you to join this sisterhood of women for monthly fun times of refreshing fellowship, with next meeting on March 28, 2019, 6:30 p.m. This event, “Coffee & Conversations” will take place at Westmore children’s area (childcare will be provided for all moms – RSVP to nkipe@westmorechurch.com).

Enetha Circle

Named after one of the previous Pastor’s wife, Enetha McClung, the Circle is made up of women of all ages. The Enetha Circle meets on the first Thursday of every month. Meetings begin at 6 p.m. with refreshments; the devotions and prayer time begin at 7 p.m. at the Williams Fellowship Hall, Wolfe Drive location.
