On Sunday, June 28 and Sunday, July5, the Westmore Family will be participating in worship services via our online platforms only. These platforms include Facebook LIVE and via the ‘Watch Live’ link on our website: www.westmorechurch.com.
The Ministry Center will remain closed through July 11.
On Sunday, July 12, the Westmore Family will reconvene for morning worship at the Ministry Center. Social distancing will be observed throughout our campus, including within the sanctuary (where social distancing will be required), and face coverings will be strongly encouraged to be worn by all attendees.
The Ministry Center will continue to be thoroughly cleaned each week. Our cleaning protocols will now include an additional weekly, facility-wide medical-grade sanitization. Once dried, this process continues to disinfect surfaces for an extended period after application.
If you chose to experience a live worship service, then, upon entering the church, we would ask that you proceed to the sanctuary entrance where every individual, couple, or family will be handed four (4) seat spacer cards to aid in our social distancing measures. Once you find a seat for you or your family, please place one card on each of the two (2) seats to your right and on each of the two (2) seats to your left. This will have the effect of creating distance between you and other attendees. After service, please leave these cards in place, so that we can collect and properly dispose of them.
If you desire to be on campus, but would rather participate in services via Livestream, we have designated a secluded, second-floor space called the “Overview Room” where attendees are able to watch service while observing required social distancing protocols, the wearing of face coverings, the use of hand sanitizer, and other recommended guidelines.
Greeters will continue to open doors wearing gloves so that you can literally walk in from your car to a sanctuary seat without having to touch a door handle.
Hand sanitizer stations remain set up throughout the building, including at every entrance and exit.
All Hospitality Teams, Ushers, Children’s Workers, Choir, Praise Team, and Staff will be asked the following two questions when they arrive, along with having their temperature taken by a nurse or qualified medical personnel: (1) Do you have any symptoms that would lead you to believe you could have the virus? (2) Have you been in contact or been present with anyone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19?
We will continue to offer online services via Livestream as an alternative for those in high-risk categories or who may otherwise be at an increased risk of infection.
Tithes and offerings will continue to be collected at the door at the end of service, so as to avoid the passing of offering pouches.
We have been cautious with altar invitations or praying for people through a practice we call the “laying on of hands”.
Communion is always pre-packaged and administered at the end of service.
We continue to ask that the Westmore Family resist shaking of hands or embracing, and encourage those who are interested to participate in select small groups via Zoom.
